NJROTC Ribbons

Here are some ribbons cadets have found are easy to earn (of course, with a lot of effort, will, and spirit!)

* 14. Exemplary Personal Appearance
* 15. Physical Fitness
* 16. Participation
* 17. Unit Service
* 18. Community Service
* Special Teams ribbons (13, 15, 19, 20, 22)

And here's how YOU can earn them:

Exemplary Personal Appearance

Awarded, WHEN EARNED, to each cadet who displays exemplary personal appearance and has worn his/her uniform on all occasion required

Wear your uniform everday, don't goof off, and show discipline. Simple.

Physical Fitness

Awarded, TWICE A YEAR, to any cadet who meets or exceeds the basic physical fitness exercise requirements as outlined in Chapter 13 (Cadet Field Manual/Orange book).

If you're athletic, this is cake. If you're not, train, you'll get there.

Participation

Awarded, WHEN EARNED, to any cadet who has participated in three events other than routine unit activities.

When Master Chief or Senior Chief ask cadets to go events, you almost always get a participation ribbon. VOLUNTEER!

Unit Service

Awarded, WHEN EARNED, to any cadet who has demonstrated exemplary service and dedication to the unit as determined by the SNSI.

OK, this is seriously, the easiest ribbon you can obtain. Two words: State Fair.

Community Service

Awarded, WHEN EARNED, to any cadet in good standing who distinguishes him/herself by dedicated and outstanding service to the community.

Like previously mentioned, when your NSI asks you to do an event, such as Oktoberfest, DO IT! It might just earn you a ribbon!

Special Teams ribbons

Awarded, WHEN EARNED, to each member of a [special team] in good standing who has entered competition, or performed at three or more official functions

Here's a fun one. If you love to Drill, if you love to parade the colors, if you love to do PT, if you love to study, or if you like running, join a team! Each team gives you a ribbon for entering competition! If you have good grades by the end of the school year (did not get an 'N' in any material), you could earn a varsity letter! How cool is that?
